Our Story

We created Conteur Élan from an appreciation for exceptional bourbon and for everything that can surround a great pour — the people, places, conversations and occasions that stay with us.

We wanted to honor what makes Kentucky bourbon extraordinary while bringing our own perspective to the experience: considered, contemporary and distinctly Conteur Élan.

That idea became the foundation of our first release — a twelve-year Kentucky straight bourbon, finished with French oak.

Twelve Year Kentucky Straight Bourbon

Our bourbon begins in Kentucky. Twelve years of maturation gives it the depth, structure and character we were looking for. French oak introduces another layer of texture and refinement while allowing the bourbon itself to remain at the center. We respect the tradition behind Kentucky whiskey. Our intention is not to reinvent it, but to present it through a point of view that feels entirely our own.

A great bourbon rarely stands alone. It arrives at the close of a long journey, in the middle of an unplanned reunion, or in the quiet after everyone else has gone home. Conteur Élan exists for those surroundings — the friendships renewed, the toasts improvised, the evenings that outlast the glass. We built it to belong wherever life gathers people worth remembering.
